Casey Volunteer Organisation Award 2014

On Friday 16th May CHIPS received the 2014 Casey Volunteer Organisation Award.

“CHIPS is a local children’s charity which provides approximately 300 volunteers who are linked with and support local primary school communities in Casey. Programs run by CHIPS volunteers in schools each week include day activities, sailing, mentoring, camps and family fun days. A significant volunteer activity was the first Christmas with CHIPS lunch, held in 2013. In a short time-frame, 106 volunteers came together offering help to organise the lunch which was attended by 46 needy families (74 adults and 152 children). CHIPS has one full time and 13 part-time staff (10 of whom are Chaplains/welfare workers in primary schools). These staff, together with over 300 volunteers, make contact with over 6,000 primary school children each year. The ripple effect of the CHIPS activities is felt throughout families and communities, enriching the lives of those involved and have a positive impact on the Casey community.”

CHIPS is an amazing organisation due to the people we are proud to call our volunteers. They truly are our Champions for Children.

To say we are proud of you all is a complete understatement. You continue to inspire us and we are forever grateful for the love, sweat and tears (sometime literally) that you put into Changing Little World’s in BIG Ways!
